The Cottage
The Cottage is here in the grounds of our main house, which is pretty old. You can’t see it from us though, it's detached and private. There’s a cottage garden around it with roses and a terrace to sit out on.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable. Everything you need is there. The stairs are normal, not too steep.
You’re right out in the Suffolk countryside here, on a farm. There are footpaths you can use to walk around the land, which is about 500 acres. There’s a pond with ducks. It's quiet.
The nearest shops and a pub are about a mile and a half away in the village. They’re fine for basics.
If you want to go out, the Suffolk coast is about 18 miles. Places like Southwold, Dunwich and Minsmere bird reserve are all in that direction and within a 30 minute drive. For a day trip, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are about 25 miles north. Framlingham with its castle is around 10 miles.
What’s here: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. There’s parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There’s also a shared swimming pool you can use, which is in a separate building near our house.
