The Cowshed is one of three cottages here. It's in Ubbeston, which is a quiet village. We're on a small farm, but it's not a working one anymore. There are fields all around.
The cottage is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's on the ground floor. It's open plan, so the living, kitchen, and sleeping area are all in one room. It's got a wood burner. We get some cold nights in winter, so it's good to have.
Outside, you have your own patio with a table and chairs. It's private. The garden looks out over the fields.
Inside, it's comfortable. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity. You can park right outside.
The local pub is about a 15 minute drive. The nearest shop is a bit closer, about 10 minutes by car.
It's a good base for seeing Suffolk. Framlingham Castle is about 20 minutes away. Southwold, on the coast, is roughly half an hour's drive. The beach huts are there. For walking, you can start right from the door or drive into the nearby Suffolk Coast & Heaths National Landscape. The National Trust has several places within a 30 minute drive, like Dunwich Heath.
We have two other cottages, The Dairy and The Woodshed. If you're coming with more people, all three can be booked together for up to six guests.
