Llwyndre

This is Llwyndre. It's in Groesffordd, near Edern, on the Llŷn Peninsula. It's a two-bedroom cottage for four people.

The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not a bare-bones place. There's one bathroom with a shower. The main living area is open-plan, with a wood burner. There's a second sitting room as well, which has a double sofa bed in it. That's why it says it sleeps four, but it's really two proper bedrooms and the sofa bed.

You can bring two dogs. They're welcome. The garden is enclosed. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We put a cot and a highchair in there too.

Edern has a local pub. The famous one is the Ty Coch Inn at Porthdinllaen. It's on the beach. It's about two miles away. It gets busy in summer. For a walk, you can park at the golf club in Porthdinllaen and walk down.

Abersoch is about a ten minute drive. It's a busy seaside village with shops, places to eat, and water sports. There are several beaches nearby. Porth Neigwl, Hell's Mouth, is good for surfing. Llanbedrog has a lovely sheltered beach.

For walking, the Llŷn Coastal Path is right there. You can get on it from various points. The whole peninsula is good for a relaxed holiday. It's quieter than places like Snowdonia.

Useful links for planning: Visit Snowdonia and Llŷn Peninsula Tourism. The National Trust looks after a few properties and beaches in the area too.
