Min Y Traeth (By The Beach)

It's called Min Y Traeth, which means "By The Beach" in Welsh. It's in Morfa Nefyn, on the Llyn Peninsula. The name is spot on, you're pretty much right on the beach.

It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. Three bathrooms too, which helps with a group. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The living area is upstairs. It's open plan, and it was all done up a few years ago. You get a great view from up there. There's a deck out the back with a table and a barbecue, and a little balcony at the front to sit with a coffee.

Three of the bedrooms are downstairs. One is a double with its own bathroom, one is a twin, and one has bunk beds. The main bathroom is down there as well, with a bath.

The beach is just yards away. It's a long sandy one. You can walk west along it to Porthdinllaen, which has the Ty Coch pub. The Coastal Path runs along here too. There's a golf course locally. The Visit Wales page for the Llyn Peninsula has good maps and ideas.

For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Wi-Fi, TV, a washing machine, parking. Bedding is included but you need to bring your own towels. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them.

There's a shop and a couple of places to eat very close by, including the seafood restaurant just up from the house.

If you want to explore further, Abersoch is about a fifteen minute drive one way, and Nefyn itself is just up the hill. The whole peninsula is good for driving around. For bigger day trips, the National Trust in Wales has places like Plas yn Rhiw nearby, or you can get to the edge of Snowdonia within about half an hour.
