The Garden House

The Garden House is in Norton St Philip, between Bath and Frome. It's detached, in the grounds of the main house, but you have your own garden and orchard. The view is of the church across the field.

It sleeps three. There are two bedrooms upstairs: a double and a single on a sort of gallery landing. One bathroom with a shower downstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a steel spiral staircase. They're fine, but not ideal if you have trouble with steps.

The living room has big windows looking out to the garden and a wood burner. The kitchen and dining area are up a few steps from there. Outside, there's a table, chairs, and a fire pit in the garden. You also get the little orchard. There's a gate from the garden into the public field which has a kids' play park.

The village pub, The George, is a couple of minutes walk. It's very old and does food. Bath is about a 15-minute drive for pretty much everything you'd need. Frome is about ten minutes the other way for markets and smaller shops.

If you're looking for days out, Longleat is about half an hour. So is Stourhead, which is National Trust. Stonehenge and Glastonbury are within 30-40 minutes. The Hauser & Wirth gallery in Bruton is about 20 minutes away.

Facilities: it's got the wood burner, WiFi, a Smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if needed. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
