Wyn Shiels Hide Away is on the edge of Ainstable village. It's one of those old stone places, set back from the lane. It's recently been done up.
It sleeps three but it's really for two adults, with the single bed being in the same room as the double. It's open plan downstairs, so the kitchen and sitting area are all in one space. There's a shower room, and the whole place is on the ground floor.
The garden is just a small patio area with a table and chairs. It gets the morning sun. You can park right outside.
Ainstable has a pub, the Stag Inn, about a five-minute walk away. They do food. For a proper shop, you'll need to drive to Penrith, which is about twenty minutes. It's a good town for supermarkets and that.
If you like walking, you're right by the River Eden. You can follow the footpaths from the village. For something bigger, the North Pennines and the Lake District National Park are both within about half an hour's drive. The National Trust Lake District page is useful for planning.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
No pets, sorry.
