Eden View Lazonby

Eden View is a holiday cottage in Lazonby, Cumbria. It's an end-of-terrace house. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids.

It sleeps four people in three bedrooms. There are two double rooms and one bunk room. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The living room has a wood-burning stove. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit tight and steep.

Lazonby is a quiet village. There's a good village shop about five minutes' walk away. There are a couple of local pubs that do food. The train station has services to Carlisle and Leeds.

A real highlight is the heated outdoor swimming pool on the banks of the River Eden. It's just down the road from the cottage. There's also a playground there, and fishing rights for residents.

For a bigger day out, the edge of the Lake District is about 20 minutes away. Ullswater and Pooley Bridge are a 23 minute drive. Lowther Castle, which has good gardens and walks, is about half an hour. Carlisle is about 25 minutes by car or train for shops and the castle. Hadrian's Wall is within a 30 minute drive.

Facilities include a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are there if you need them. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
