Tanfield Barn is a converted barn in South Kilvington, near Thirsk. It's just for two people. The building is detached and you've got your own enclosed garden out the back.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is open-plan downstairs, with the kitchen and living area. Upstairs is just the one bedroom. The bed is a king size. The bathroom is up there too, it's part of the bedroom. It has a bath and a separate shower.
The stairs are a fairly steep wooden staircase, typical for a barn conversion.
There's a pub next door. It's open every day and does food. You can walk into Thirsk in about twenty minutes. That's where the main shops are and the James Herriot museum.
The North York Moors are about a fifteen minute drive east. Good for walking. Rievaulx Abbey and Helmsley are within half an hour. Castle Howard is a bit further, maybe forty minutes.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog. There's bike storage if you need it.
