Stable Cottage is in South Kilvington, just outside Thirsk. It's a bungalow, really. Used to be a stable. The garden is yours to use.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well set up and comfortable. Because it's all on one floor, it's straightforward for getting around. The doorways are wide and there are no steps at the entrance.
The local pub is about 150 yards away. They do food. There's a shop a mile away in Thirsk.
Thirsk is the proper market town. The market's on a Monday and a Saturday. It's where James Herriot, the vet writer, was from. The James Herriot Museum is there if you're interested.
You're in a good spot for getting out. The North York Moors are about twenty minutes east. The Yorkshire Dales are maybe half an hour west. For a big day out, York is about forty minutes drive. It's got the Minster, the Shambles, the lot.
There's a few big houses nearby if you like that. Fountains Abbey is about forty minutes. Castle Howard is a bit further.
What's here: a washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking right outside. You can bring one dog.
