Bellwood House Annexe Felixkirk

Bellwood House Annexe is in Felixkirk, a few miles outside Thirsk. It's attached to our house, but it's completely separate and private. You get the bit of garden around it to yourselves.

It's a single-storey place, so everything is on the ground floor. It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.

The garden is fenced, which is useful if you're bringing dogs. You can let them out there. There's also access to a bigger field. You can park two cars right outside.

There's a good village pub about 500 yards away. They're dog-friendly and do food. The nearest shop is in Thirsk, about three miles.

Thirsk is a proper market town. It's got the usual shops and a racecourse. It's famous for the James Herriot connection if that's your thing.

For getting outside, you can walk or cycle straight from the door onto the footpaths. We're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Sutton Bank and the White Horse are close by. The coast at Whitby is about an hour's drive. You can get the steam train from Pickering if you don't want to drive.

Other good days out within half an hour or so include Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley, and Fountains Abbey. York is about 25 miles away.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's storage for bikes. We allow up to two pets.
