Magnolia Cottage Carlton Miniott

Magnolia Cottage is in Carlton Miniott. It's a ground-floor cottage, all on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, one at each end.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern inside. The living area is open plan, with the kitchen at one end. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.

The bathroom has a walk-in shower. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.

It's a quiet village. There's a local pub a short walk away. The big draw is the location. You're just outside Thirsk, which is a proper market town with shops, cafes, and pubs. It's famous for James Herriot. The World of James Herriot Museum is there if that's your thing.

You're right between the two national parks. The North York Moors are about a 30 minute drive east. The Yorkshire Dales are about the same to the west. For walking, the Hambleton Hills and the Cleveland Way are very close. Thirsk racecourse is just down the road.

Carlton Miniott has a train station, so you can get to York without driving. Ripon, with its cathedral, and Boroughbridge are also within half an hour for a day out.
