Captains Rest
Captains Rest is on the edge of Bournemouth, near Southbourne. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That might suit you if you don't want stairs. The garden's enclosed, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The kitchen has what you need, and there's a separate dining room that looks out to the garden. There's a summer house out there too, which is a nice spot if the weather's good.
The beach is about three quarters of a mile away. You can walk it. There's a decent pub a short walk away, overlooking the river. Southbourne High Street is a bit further for shops and cafes.
Christchurch is about a 30 minute walk. You can get the Wick Ferry or walk over Tuckton Bridge. The Priory is nice to see. For a bigger trip, Poole Harbour is about a 20 minute drive. You can get boat trips from there to places like Brownsea Island.
The New Forest is within half an hour if you want to see the ponies. The Jurassic Coast is further, maybe an hour to Durdle Door, but it's a straightforward drive.
Facilities: parking, washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
