Stourcliffe House
Stourcliffe House is a big Edwardian house in Southbourne, Bournemouth. It's in a quiet road, about five minutes' walk from the beach.
It sleeps eleven people. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a family house, not a showhome.
Downstairs there's a living room with a wood burner, a large kitchen and dining area that opens to the garden, a study, and a games room. The garden is fully enclosed. There's a table tennis table in the garage.
You're 300 yards from Southbourne Beach. There's a shop about 50 yards away, and a pub and a restaurant just around the corner. Southbourne has a good few places to eat and drink within walking distance.
For walks, Hengistbury Head is about a mile east. Bournemouth town centre is two and a half miles away if you want the pier, the Oceanarium, or the Bournemouth Eye balloon. The New Forest is about five miles away for driving or cycling through.
If you're planning day trips, the National Trust's Kingston Lacy is nearby, and Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour is worth the boat trip. Beaulieu Motor Museum is about twenty miles. Paultons Park is around twenty-five miles for children.
Facilities: there's parking for several cars on the drive. WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Wood burner with an initial supply of logs. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
