Solsken

Solsken is a ground-floor annexe attached to our house in Pokesdown, Bournemouth. It's for four people but it's one bedroom, so the other two are on the sofa bed in the living room. That's fine for kids or friends, but probably a bit close for two couples. Just so you know.

It's got a 4 star rating, which means it's modern and everything works. The whole place is on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. The shower is a walk-in one. The patio out the back is enclosed, so it's private. There's a parking space on the drive.

You're about a ten minute walk from the beach. Once you're on the promenade you can walk for miles. Left takes you towards Bournemouth town centre and on to Sandbanks. Right goes towards Hengistbury Head, which is a great spot. The beach there is shingle.

Pokesdown high street is a few minutes walk. There are shops, a couple of pubs, and some takeaways. The train station is close too, so you can get into Bournemouth centre or out to Christchurch easily.

If you drive, the New Forest is about half an hour away. Poole Harbour and the Purbeck hills are in the other direction, also roughly 30 minutes.

Inside, it's all open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, and the kitchen has what you need. Bedding and towels are included. We can put up a cot or provide a highchair.
