Seaside Cottage
Seaside Cottage is in Southbourne, Bournemouth. It's one of a pair, with Coastguard Cottage next door. The front door is a couple of minutes' walk from the beach, which is sandy. It's a quieter bit of the coast than central Bournemouth.
It sleeps six. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a kingsize bed that can be split into twins if you ask beforehand, and it looks out at the sea. The other bedroom has a double bed and a sea view too. There's also a sofa bed in the living area.
The living area is open plan with the kitchen. It's a decent size. The front door and rooms are all on one level, so it's suitable for wheelchairs.
The beach is about a hundred yards away. You can see the Isle of Wight from there on a clear day. Southbourne high street is a short walk inland. There's a few shops, some independent restaurants, pubs, and takeaways.
A ten minute walk along the coast gets you to Hengistbury Head. It's good for walks and birdwatching. Christchurch harbour is about a fifteen minute drive. Bournemouth centre, with the main shops and pier, is a ten to fifteen minute drive depending on traffic.
The New Forest is maybe twenty five minutes by car. You can see the ponies there, and the walking and cycling is good.
Facilities wise: there's parking, a garden with a patio and BBQ, wifi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. This cottage and the one next door can be booked together if you're a larger group.
