Swift Cottage Chilton Polden

Swift Cottage is in Chilton Polden. It's a detached house. It sleeps five, has four bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and decent quality.

The garden is fully enclosed at the back. There’s a patio with seating, a lawn, and a covered area with a barbecue. Indoors, there’s a kitchen and dining room, a living room, and a utility room with a downstairs toilet.

The stairs are a bit steep. It’s an old house and we haven’t altered them.

You can walk out onto the moors straight from the village. The Somerset Levels are right there. It's good for dog walking and you'll see a lot of birds. There are RSPB reserves nearby like Ham Wall, which is known for the starling murmurations in winter. If you're planning that sort of trip, the RSPB Ham Wall page has details.

There’s a local pub, a shop, a gym, and a café within walking distance.

Glastonbury is about ten minutes away by car, so you can visit the Tor or the Abbey. Wells and its cathedral is about a twenty-five minute drive. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea is roughly half an hour. Cheddar Gorge is also within a thirty minute drive.

Facilities: The description covers most of it. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a highchair and a stairgate if needed. It says Christmas themed which means we put up a tree and some decorations in December. Up to two dogs are welcome. There’s parking on site.
