Birch Cottage
Birch Cottage is part of Withy Grove Farm near East Huntspill. It's a working farm, so you'll see animals and tractors about. There are chickens, sheep, horses, and a couple of pygmy goats called Fudge and Snowy.
The cottage is one of five around a courtyard. It's all on one level, which is handy. It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You can bring one dog.
Outside your door there's a patio area. The farm has a heated outdoor swimming pool you can use, and a big garden. There's a games room with table tennis and a pool table, and a skittle alley. There's a bar on site that does a quiz or bingo some nights. Once a week they do a Somerset evening with local cider and cheese.
The location is quiet. The nearest shop and pub is about a mile and a half away. Burnham-on-Sea is about four miles for the beach.
For days out, Glastonbury Tor is about a 25 minute drive. Wells and its cathedral is about half an hour. Cheddar Gorge is around 20 minutes away. If you want to go shopping, Clarks Village in Street is about 15 minutes drive. The Somerset West and Moors website has good local information.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. They can provide a cot and a highchair.
