Sycamore Cottage

Sycamore Cottage is one of five cottages on Withy Grove Farm in East Huntspill. It's a working farm, so there are fields and animals about. The cottage is all on one floor and sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, which is about what you'd expect. It's comfortable and clean.

You're right on the River Huntspill here. It's quiet. The farm has chickens, cows, sheep, horses, and a couple of pygmy goats. Kids usually like it. You can bring one dog.

The cottage has its own patio area. There's a shared outdoor heated swimming pool that's open in the summer. There's also a games room with a pool table and table tennis, and a skittle alley. The owners run a little licensed bar in the evenings some nights, with quizzes or bingo. They sometimes do a Somerset evening with local cider and cheese.

In terms of facilities, you've got a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.

The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in the village. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea is about a 15 minute drive. If you're into fishing, you can get a licence locally for the river.

For days out, Cheddar Gorge is maybe 25 minutes by car. Wells and its cathedral are about half an hour away. Glastonbury Tor is roughly the same. Street for Clarks Village shopping is about 20 minutes. You can get to the edge of Exmoor or into Bristol in around 45 minutes.
