Sycamore Cottage
Sycamore Cottage is one of five cottages on Withy Grove Farm in East Huntspill, Somerset. It's a working farm, so you'll see animals around. There are sheep, chickens, cows, horses, and a few smaller ones like goats and a Shetland pony.
The cottage itself sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's all on one floor. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but don't expect anything fancy. The decor is straightforward.
As part of the farm, you can use the outdoor heated swimming pool when it's open seasonally. There's also a games room with table tennis and pool, and a skittle alley. The owners run a little licensed bar some evenings, with things like weekly quizzes. They sometimes do a Somerset evening with local cider and cheese.
You're a few miles from the coast at Burnham-on-Sea. The local shop and pub are about a mile and a half away. The farm is peaceful, but you will hear farm noises sometimes.
For days out, Glastonbury Tor is about twenty minutes' drive. Wells and its cathedral are roughly half an hour. The Cheddar Gorge is maybe twenty-five minutes away. If you fancy a city trip, Bath is around forty-five minutes. Exmoor is about an hour's drive for a proper walk.
Facilities wise: you can bring one dog. There's parking right outside. It has a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included, and a cot and highchair are available if you need them.
