Poplar Cottage
Poplar Cottage is one of the cottages at Withy Grove Farm in East Huntspill. It's a working farm, so you'll see animals around. There are chickens, sheep, cows, and a couple of pygmy goats. The kids usually like it.
The cottage sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a ground floor place, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not high-end. The garden area is shared with the other cottages around the courtyard.
On site, there's a heated outdoor swimming pool open in the warmer months. There's a games room with table tennis and pool, and a skittle alley. The owners run a small licensed bar some evenings with quizzes. They live on site if you need anything.
You're about four miles from Burnham-on-Sea for the beach. The local shop and pub are a mile and a half away in the village.
For days out, Glastonbury Tor is about 25 minutes drive. Wells Cathedral is roughly half an hour. Cheddar Gorge is around 20 minutes away. If you want to go a bit further, the coast at Weston-super-Mare or the quantock hills are within 30 to 40 minutes.
Facilities include a washing machine, TV, and wifi. Bedding is provided. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Parking is right there.
