Sunset View
Sunset View is on the edge of Burtle in mid-Somerset. It's right by the Somerset Levels, so it's very flat with big skies. Not everyone expects that.
It's the grand west wing of an old vicarage. It's been recently done up to a high standard, a five-star rating. Doesn't feel like a typical cottage. It's more of a smart, modern holiday home. Underfloor heating downstairs, that sort of thing. Sleeps four, two bedrooms upstairs. One kingsize, one twin. Both have TVs.
The bathroom is up there too. It's a good size, with a separate shower cubicle and a bath with a shower head over it.
Downstairs there's a living and dining area that opens into the kitchen. It's well equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine. There's a Smart TV and a PlayStation 5. Outside the back there's a private patio with a firepit. There's also a shared lawn area to the side you can use.
You get sunsets from the back. The name isn't wrong.
The location is good for getting to different places. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea or Brean is about twenty minutes drive east. Glastonbury is twenty minutes south, maybe less. Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills are about twenty-five minutes away. Wells is similar. National Trust Somerset has details on some of those.
If you're flying in, Bristol Airport is roughly half an hour away.
Locally, there's a village pub a few minutes walk away. You're well placed for walking on the Levels. There's fishing and horse riding nearby if you're into that.
Facilities wise: parking for two cars, bedding and towels included, cot available, WiFi. No pets allowed.
