Broom Cottage

Broom Cottage is in Newtonmore. It's a detached place, built around 1900.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog. You can have one pet. There's parking right there.

It's a cottage, so there are a few things to know. The stairs are steep. Some of the doorways are low, so taller people need to mind their head. Nothing drastic, just worth mentioning.

You're right in the Cairngorms National Park. The back gate opens straight onto walking and biking trails. You can be out on a proper hike in minutes. There's a local pub within walking distance, and a golf course.

Newtonmore itself has the Highland Folk Museum, which is interesting if you like that sort of thing. The Highland Wildlife Park is about a 15-minute drive away. That's a good day out, especially with kids.

Aviemore is about 20 minutes up the road. That's where you'll find most of the shops, more places to eat, and the access to the ski resort. The Strathspey Steam Railway is based there too.

For a wider trip, places like Loch Insh for watersports, or Kingussie, are within half an hour. Inverness and Fort William are both a bit over an hour's drive if you want to go further.

Inside, it's got what you need. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

A couple of links for planning: Cairngorms National Park and Highland Folk Museum.
