Squirrel View
Squirrel View is in Newtonmore. It's a detached bungalow, so all on one level. The garden is enclosed. You get a view of the trees from the patio, and the red squirrels do visit sometimes, hence the name.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept. It has a wood burning stove in the living area, which is open plan with the kitchen.
Newtonmore is a quiet village. There's a local pub within walking distance. You're right in the Cairngorms National Park, so walking and cycling start on your doorstep. The local golf course is just over the road. The River Spey is nearby for fishing.
For a day out, the Highland Folk Museum is here in the village. Aviemore is about a 15-minute drive for more shops and the railway station. The Cairngorm Mountain ski area is about half an hour away by car in winter.
In terms of facilities, it's got the wood burner, a washing machine, a TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
