Bruich Cottage

Bruich Cottage is in Newtonmore. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. That's good if you don't want stairs.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.

The living area is open plan, with the kitchen and dining table. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a garden out the back. It's shared with me, as I live on-site, but you have your own private bit with seating and a firepit.

You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.

The village centre is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and the Highland Folk Museum is here. The golf course is just down the road.

You're right in the Cairngorms. For walking and cycling, you can step straight out onto the Wild Cat trails. Aviemore is about a 15 minute drive if you need more shops or to go to the ski slopes. You're well placed for day trips: up to Inverness and Loch Ness, west to Fort William, or along Speyside for the whisky distilleries. Dalwhinnie is the closest one, about 15 minutes away.

Useful links for planning: Cairngorms National Park and Highland Folk Museum.
