Baltinna West is one of a pair of lodges near Newtonmore. They're joined together but they're completely separate inside. It's just for two people.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well finished. Downstairs is all open plan. There's a kitchen area, then the living space with a sofa and a wood burner. It's very simple. Upstairs is the bedroom with a kingsize bed. There's a separate shower room up there too, and the bathroom with the roll-top bath is actually in the bedroom itself. It's all quite compact.
Outside, there's a decked area at the front which is enclosed. You get red squirrels visiting. The trees around it are mature, so it feels private. You can park right next to it.
Newtonmore village is about a two minute walk. There's a couple of pubs that do food, a shop, a cafe, and a takeaway. Everything you need is close by.
You're right in the Cairngorms National Park here. The Wildcat Trail starts in the village, it's a good walk. If you're after bigger hills, you're between the Cairngorms and the Monadhliath mountains. Aviemore is about a 15 minute drive for more shops or the cinema. Inverness is around 45 minutes to an hour if you need a city.
For facilities: it has a wood burner, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. You can bring one dog.
