Cathwill Newtonmore

Cathwill is in Newtonmore, just off the main street. It's detached, so it's quiet. You can walk into the village in a couple of minutes.

It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms: two doubles and a single. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.

You can bring a dog. We allow one. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Newtonmore has a couple of shops and some good pubs. The nearest one is about 150 yards away. The Highland Folk Museum is here, which is free and interesting. The Wildcat Trail is a seven-mile loop around the village if you want a proper walk from the door.

You're right in the Cairngorms. For skiing, it's about twenty minutes to the Cairngorm Mountain resort. The Cairngorms National Park site has good information. The Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig is a ten-minute drive.

For a day out, you can get to Aviemore in ten minutes, Kingussie in five, or go up to Loch Morlich. Landmark in Carrbridge is about half an hour away if you've got children with you.
