Palace View is the top floor flat in the old Liquorstane House on the High Street in Falkland. It's one of three apartments in the building. The ground floor is a pharmacy now. The main stairwell in the entry hall is the original one and it's been done up nicely.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The windows are big, so it's bright inside. You can see the palace from the living room window.
You're right in the village. Falkland Palace and its gardens are a couple of minutes' walk away. The High Street has shops, tea rooms, restaurants and a couple of pubs. The Falkland Estate is on the doorstep too, for walking or cycling.
It's a good spot for seeing the area. The Fife coast is about half an hour's drive. Places like Anstruther and Crail are nice for a walk. St Andrews is about 40 minutes away if you want the shops, the university, or the golf. Fife Zoo is only ten minutes up the road near Ladybank.
For facilities: it's open plan, with a washing machine, dishwasher, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. No pets.
