Ivy Cottage is in Falkland village. It's a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps four. It's got a four star rating.
It's just up from the main street. You can walk to the shops and pubs in about a minute. The cottage was finished in 2022, so everything inside is modern and works. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner. The living space is all open plan.
Upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed that can be split into two singles. The other is a double. They share one modern shower room. The stairs are open tread, which just means you can see through them.
Falkland itself is small. Falkland Palace is the main thing here. The gardens are good for a wander. The village was used as Inverness in Outlander, if that matters to you.
You're right under the Lomond Hills. Walking routes start from the door. You can go up East Lomond or West Lomond. The Falkland Estate is a few minutes away for more forest walks.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage. No pets, sorry.
For a bigger town, St Andrews is about half an hour's drive. The coast is accessible from there or from villages like Elie. Useful links for planning: National Trust for Scotland and Lomond Hills Regional Park.
