This is Invergyle. It's a modern two-bedroom apartment on the first floor of a big old building called Liquorstane House in Falkland. The building used to be a hotel and a masonic lodge. There's a pharmacy on the ground floor now. You'll see the original staircase in the entrance hall, they've kept that. The apartment itself is light, with good-sized windows.
It sleeps four. One bedroom has a king-size bed that can be made into two singles if you ask beforehand. The other has a double. There's one bathroom with a shower. The living area is open plan with a dining space. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-finished and comfortable.
You're basically in the middle of Falkland village. The palace and gardens are a couple of minutes' walk away. The village has cobbled streets, a few shops, some nice places to eat and a couple of pubs. The Falkland Estate is right there for walks in the woods.
Fife Zoo is about ten minutes by car. The coast is half an hour away, where you'll find East Neuk fishing villages like Anstruther. St Andrews is about 40 minutes' drive if you want the university town, more shops, the cinema, or the golf. Cupar is the nearest bigger town, under 20 minutes.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, parking on site, and the bedding and towels are included. There's Wi-Fi and a TV. No pets.
