Horseshoe Cottage is in the village of Freuchie, in Fife. It's a one-up-one-down stone cottage on a quiet lane. Sleeps two.
It's a 4 Star cottage, so it's comfortable and well kept. The stairs are quite steep, which is normal for these places. The layout is open plan downstairs.
There's a small enclosed garden out the back with a patio. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a barbecue there if you want to use it. Parking is right outside.
Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and Wi-Fi. All bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The village has a shop and a pub that does food, both about five minutes' walk. You can walk straight out into the countryside from the door.
Falkland is two miles away. It's got the palace and nice streets to wander. National Trust for Scotland: Falkland. The Lomond Hills are right there for walking.
St Andrews is less than half an hour's drive if you're into golf. The coast at Leven is about 20 minutes away, where you can pick up the Fife Coastal Path. Dundee, with the V&A museum, is also under 30 minutes.
