The Lodge Retreat
Set behind secure gates lays The Lodge Retreat, an 18th Century cottage which has been modernised for guests to enjoy a fabulous stay with friends and family. Whether you’re curled up in front of the wood burner in the living room, or you’re cooking up a meal for the family in the well-equipped kitchen while the kids watch TV in the snug, there’s a relaxing feel to The Lodge Retreat that means you’ll feel right at home. Inspired by a villa holiday at the same time, this is exemplified by the show stopping villa-esque garden which has been designed by the owners for villa holiday feel in the country. However, you decide to spend your time at The Lodge Retreat, you will find everything you need in this detached self-catering holiday home.
On entering the property through the stable door, you will enter the modern kitchen with contemporary black furnishings which leads to the living area which boasts a charming wood burner, ideal for relaxing with a book for a lazy afternoon on cooler days and a dining table for the family to enjoy a nice meal. Patio doors lead to the villa-esque garden at the back of the cottage where you can enjoy breakfast al fresco in the morning sun. Through the hallway on the ground floor there is an additional snug room with an office desk, family games and a Smart TV perfect for if the kids want to bring their consoles. A large modern contemporary bathroom sits downstairs fully tiled throughout with walk in wet room style overhead shower beneath the skylight. Patio doors lead out to the courtyard garden with artificial grass and seating. Heading upstairs brings you to two bedrooms, a double bedroom with field views, a dressing table and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom features 2 single beds that can be separated, perfect for the little ones. Downstairs in the lounge there is a double sofa bed, this property is perfect for 4 adults and 2 children.
The Lodge Retreat is situated Hambrook, a village just under 6 miles from the centre of Bristol and 15 miles from Bath. The property lies just off the M4, yet is surrounded by open fields and countryside, and you can get to the River Frome on foot which is at the back of the fields, ideal for walkers and cyclists. Why not stop at the popular village pub with beautiful gardens and an events barn just a 5-minute walk away! Catch the bus from directly outside the property which will take you to Bristol City Centre with its famous designer shopping, alongside many amazing sites and attractions. The property is only 15 miles to the centre of Bath, with many famous attractions including Pulteney Bridge, The Abbey, Roman Baths, Aquae Sulis Spa, and the sweeping Georgian crescents. Bath is a lively, year-round destination, with museums, galleries, cultural events, and unique shopping. The coastal resorts of Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon and Burnham-on-Sea are within an hour’s drive as well as The Area of Natural Beauty - The Cotswolds, explore Castle Combe just 16 miles away!
