Hayden Farm
Hayden Farm is our place in Hillmoor, just outside Culmstock. It's a detached cottage on a farm track, so you're on your own out here. The track in is about 500 yards long. You get 15 acres to look at, and your own fenced garden that's about an acre.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which helps with a bigger group. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've tried to keep it comfortable and clean. There's a wood burner in the main living room.
The garden gets the sun all day. We've put a big patio out front for sitting outside. You can see deer in the fields sometimes.
You're about two miles from the nearest shops and pubs, in Hemyock or Culmstock. Both villages have a pub that does food and a small shop. For a bigger supermarket or more shops, Wellington or Honiton are about 15 minutes by car. Honiton is good for antiques.
You're in the Blackdown Hills, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are walking paths right from the gate. If you want to ride, there are local stables.
For a day out, the coast is about 40 minutes south. Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth are all that way. To the west, you've got Exmoor National Park, which is about the same drive. Taunton is closer, maybe half an hour, if you want the races or the cricket. Exeter is about 45 minutes.
What's here: plenty of parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, highchair, cot, and a stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two dogs. There's a barbecue and bike storage.
