Dovecote View is in Bruton, on the edge of town. It's a small, end-of-terrace cottage that sleeps four. There are two double bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.
The garden is across a shared path. It's enclosed and gets the sun in the evening. It's a quiet spot to sit out.
Inside, the main room has a wood burning stove. We leave a basket of logs for you to start with. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a cot if you need it, and we allow one well-behaved dog.
You're right in Bruton. The Chapel bar and restaurant is a five minute walk. So is Osip, if you want something special. The Hauser & Wirth gallery is about a fifteen minute walk from the door. Their garden is good for a coffee.
A local walk takes you up to the Dovecote, which is the stone tower you can see from the cottage. It's about twenty minutes uphill.
For a day out, The Newt estate is about ten minutes' drive. You need to book tickets online in advance. Frome and Sherborne are both nice market towns within half an hour. Glastonbury Tor is about twenty five minutes away.
