Glastonbury

This place is called Glastonbury, but it's actually in Witham Friary. It's a countryside spot near the Somerset, Dorset, and Wiltshire borders.

It sleeps six, three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been refurbished recently and is well-equipped. There's another cottage on site too.

You're on a farm here, about 40 acres. There are two lakes, a bit of woodland, and a big field. You'll see deer and hares around. There are buzzards and owls about. The fish in the lower lake are tame, they'll come up to be fed, so there's no fishing.

The village and the pub are a short walk away. It's a proper unspoiled local. There's a kids' playground there too.

A lot of you ask about things to do. Longleat is very close, maybe 15 minutes. Stourhead, the National Trust place, is just down the road as well. Bath is about 45 minutes. You can get to Wells, Glastonbury, and Frome within half an hour. The Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge are up that way too, good for walks.

On site there's a shared indoor swimming pool and a games room. There's a tennis court, a climbing frame, and an EV charger now too.

For the house itself: it's open plan downstairs. You've got a patio with a BBQ and the garden looks out over the fields. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
