This is Mendip. It's one of the cottages at Moorleaze, near Witham Friary. The place is a 40-acre farm with two lakes and woods. It's very quiet. You'll see deer and hares close by. There are buzzards and owls. You can feed the carp in the lower lake, but you can't fish.
The cottage itself sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's been done up recently to a high standard. Everything's clean and works properly. It's rated 5 Star.
On site, there's an indoor swimming pool, a games room, a tennis court, and a climbing frame for kids. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger. You've got a garden area with a barbecue. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. All bedding and towels are included.
The village pub is a few minutes' walk away. It's a proper local. The village was used for that TV show, Building the Dream. The shop is about six miles away in Frome.
You're well placed for day trips. Stourhead is about ten minutes by car. Longleat is close too. Bath, Wells, Glastonbury, and Salisbury are all within half an hour's drive. Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills are good for walking.
