Stonehenge
The cottage is called Stonehenge. It's in Witham Friary. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, two bathrooms. We can take two dogs.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done up well. Everything's modern inside. There's underfloor heating. The ceilings are high. It doesn't feel cramped.
It's very quiet here. You look out over fields. You get deer and hares in the field right outside. Plenty of birds. There are two lakes on the grounds. The fish in one are tame, you can feed them by hand.
The village has a pub, it's a few minutes' walk. They do food. It's a proper village pub.
For things to do, Longleat is about a fifteen minute drive. Stourhead is even closer. Bath is about forty minutes. Stonehenge and Avebury are both within half an hour if you want the stones. The Mendips and Cheddar Gorge are about thirty minutes away for walks.
On site there's a heated indoor pool, a games room, a tennis court, and a kids' play area. There's plenty of parking. We have an electric vehicle charger.
