Shaftesbury
This is Shaftesbury. It's one of a few cottages on our farm in Witham Friary. It's a stone built place, fully refurbished. You get a private patio and garden. The views over the fields are great.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it's quite flexible. It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means everything is new and in good order. It's all open plan downstairs.
The cottage is on the edge of our 40 acres. There are two lakes, woodland and an orchard you can walk around. You'll see deer and hares. Buzzards and owls are common. The fish in the lower lake are tame, they'll eat from your hand.
Witham Friary village is a few minutes walk away. There's a pub there and a children's playground. The shop is about six miles away in Frome.
For things to do, Longleat is very close. Bath is about 40 minutes drive. The Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge are within half an hour. There's also Stourhead, which is beautiful and just down the road. Wells, Glastonbury, and Stonehenge are all within an hour.
On site, there's an indoor swimming pool, a games room, and a tennis court. There's also a kids' play area and a BBQ. We have an electric vehicle charger. The facilities list is pretty complete: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
