Longleat is in Witham Friary. It sleeps ten, has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's rated five stars, which means it's recently been done up to a high standard.
The cottage is on a 40-acre site. There are two lakes, an orchard, some woodland. You'll see deer and hares around. The lower lake has carp you can feed from your hand, but no fishing.
The stairs are fine, but there are a lot of them. It's a big place.
There's a local pub in the village, about a five-minute walk. It's a good, normal pub. The nearest proper shops are about six miles away in Frome.
On site, there's an indoor swimming pool, a games room, a tennis court, and a kids' play area. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
For things to do, Longleat Safari Park is very close. Bath is about a 40-minute drive. Stourhead House and Gardens is maybe 15 minutes away. The Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge are within half an hour.
