5 Church Square Rigg

5 Church Square is a flat you can rent. It's on the first floor of a building that used to be a church. It's in Rigg, which is a very quiet village near Gretna Green.

It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's had a renovation but they kept a lot of the old church features, like the big windows and a tiled floor. There's even an old church pew left in there. The stairs up to the sitting area are a bit narrow.

You get the little courtyard garden to yourself. There's parking right there. It has wifi. Bedding and towels are included.

The village itself is quiet. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away, so you'll probably need a car.

Gretna Green is obviously famous for weddings. You can go and see the blacksmith's shop where they do them. There's also a shopping outlet there. A bit further on, the Devil's Porridge Museum is interesting if you like local history.

It's a good spot for exploring from. You're right by the A75 and M6. Dumfries is about twenty minutes away. You can be at the Solway Coast in half an hour. The edges of the Lake District are maybe forty-five minutes' drive. Hadrian's Wall is under an hour.
