Solway Marsh View Rockcliffe Cross

Solway Marsh View is in Rockcliffe Cross. It's attached to the farmhouse where we live, but it's got its own access and you wouldn't know we're here. It's quiet.

Sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. One is a double, the other has custom-built bunk beds that are proper full-size singles, so fine for adults. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and warm.

The garden is yours. It's enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. The gate at the bottom opens straight onto the riverside. There are walks from there that aren't on the public maps.

The view from the garden and the upstairs windows is over the River Eden marshes towards the Lake District fells. You'll see and hear a lot of birds. Geese, swans, ducks. The river leads out to the Solway Firth.

It's a working farm, so you might hear tractors or see sheep in the fields. There's a pub in the village about a fifteen minute walk away. They do food.

You can be on the M6 in a few minutes by car. Carlisle is about fifteen minutes away. The Solway Coast and the Lake District National Park are within half an hour's drive. Hadrian's Wall is close too. You can walk to a bit of it from here along the river path.

In terms of stuff: there's a wood burner, parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. It says pets are allowed, we can take up to three. Please just let us know.
