Solway Marsh View is in Rockcliffe Cross, which is near Carlisle. It's attached to our farmhouse, but you have your own space and garden. The garden looks over the River Eden towards the Lake District fells.
The cottage sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are ordinary.
You can walk straight from the garden gate onto the riverbank. There are paths there that aren't open to the general public. It's good for seeing birds. You'll see and hear a lot of ducks and geese.
The village pub is about a fifteen minute walk. They do food. Carlisle is a fifteen minute drive. The M6 is close if you need it.
The Solway Coast is nearby. Hadrian's Wall is about a twenty minute drive. You can get to the southern lakes in roughly half an hour. Scotland is just over the border, about a twenty minute drive to Gretna.
Facilities: there's a wood burner, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. We allow up to two pets.
