Paxville is our bungalow on the edge of Gretna. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. We've just redone it, so everything inside is new.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all on the ground floor, and one shower room. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, not grand. The garden is sizeable, mostly lawn, with a patio and some furniture.
The view from the front is over fields towards the Solway Firth. On a clear day you can see the hills of Cumbria in the distance. The living room and kitchen both face that way.
It's very easy to get to. The A75 and the M6 junction are about five minutes away by car. Gretna Green is just down the road. The Caledonia Park Outlet is less than a mile from the door.
The Solway coast is a short drive. There are sandy beaches and good walks. The Devil's Porridge Museum is local, it covers the area's wartime history. For a proper day out, the Lake District is about half an hour's drive. Dumfries itself has a lot of history and some good cafes.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the drive. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
