Hollow Creek Cottage Kirkandrews on Eden

Hollow Creek Cottage is in Kirkandrews on Eden. It's attached to our house, which is an old farmhouse from the 1700s. We're on the edge of the village.

It's a one-bedroom place, so it sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've tried to keep the old bits, like the beams, but put in proper modern stuff you need like the shower and Wi-Fi.

The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're the original farmhouse stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow. There's a stairgate at the top if you need it.

You get your own enclosed garden out the back. It's got a patio and a lawn. There's a barbecue and a bike store. There's also an electric vehicle charger on the drive.

A pub that does food is about a fifteen minute walk away. The closest shop is a mile away in Kirkandrews itself.

Location wise, you're right on two main paths. The Hadrian's Wall path is literally at the end of the lane. The C2C coastal cycle route goes past too. The Solway Firth is a few minutes' drive if you want to see the estuary. Local fishing is available, you'd need a permit.

You can be in Carlisle in about ten minutes by car. The Scottish border is about twenty minutes north. The Lake District is maybe forty minutes to the south. Northumberland National Park is east, about half an hour.

Everything like bedding, towels, electricity is included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and a woodburning stove. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
