Taters Barn
Taters Barn is in Oughterby, Cumbria. It's a converted barn for two people. It's quiet and surrounded by fields, with views towards Skiddaw.
It's got one bedroom with a super king size bed and an en-suite shower room. The main space is open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area are all in one big room with a high ceiling. There's a wood burner for cooler nights and doors that open onto the garden. You have your own enclosed garden with a hot tub.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is over five miles, so you'll want to come with supplies.
You're just outside the Lake District National Park boundary, so it's about a twenty minute drive to get into the proper fells. The Solway Coast is also close. Carlisle is about twenty minutes in the other direction if you need a city or want to see the castle.
