Ach-Na-Clachan is in Gairloch, up in the Highlands. It's a detached stone cottage with a big garden. The garden isn't landscaped, it's just natural. There are sheep in the field next door sometimes.
The main thing is the view. From the front windows you look straight out over Gairloch Bay towards the mountains and Skye. You never really get tired of it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. There's a woodburning stove for chilly evenings.
The village shop and a pub are about a five minute walk away. The beach is a mile and a half. It's a good sandy beach. The nine-hole golf course is just along the road too.
If you want to explore, Poolewe is six miles away. They've got the Inverewe Garden there, which is worth seeing. It's run by the National Trust for Scotland. There's also a swimming pool there, which is handy if the weather turns.
You're in a good spot for walking. The Torridon hills are right there. For a longer drive, Ullapool is about an hour south. The Wester Ross area has a lot of information.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a bike store. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
