Ornella View is in Mickleton, right in Teesdale. It's a detached house. It sits up a bit, so you get a good view out over the hills from the back garden.
It sleeps ten, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one of which is an en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was a family home, so it's set up for groups. There are two living rooms downstairs, which helps spread people out. One's got a wood burner. The kitchen is big enough for cooking for everyone.
The garage has been turned into a games room with a pool table and dartboard. There's a hot tub in the garden that fits six people. You need to bring your own towels for the hot tub.
There's a local pub about 180 yards away. A fancier gastro pub is about twice that distance. The nearest proper shop is in Middleton-in-Teesdale, which is two miles down the road. That village has pubs, restaurants, and a shop.
For walking, you're in a good spot. Footpaths go right through the village. You can join the Pennine Way from here. Low Force waterfall is a popular walk. For cyclists, there are lots of routes on and off road.
Within about half an hour's drive, you've got Barnard Castle and The Bowes Museum. Stanhope has the Weardale Visitor Centre. Killhope has the Lead Mining Museum. Bishop Auckland puts on the Kynren outdoor show in the summer. Durham city is about 45 minutes away.
In terms of facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
