Water Vole Shadoxhurst

It's called Water Vole. It’s on our farm in Shadoxhurst, between Ashford and Hamstreet. It's a bell tent in a meadow, so it's glamping really.

The tent has a king sized bed for two. All your bedding and towels are there. There's a cooking shack outside with a camping stove.

The main barn, which you share with other guests, is a short walk away. That's where the proper kitchen sink, fridge-freezer, and charging points are. You wash up in there. The toilet is in a converted horse trailer next to the barn, and there's a separate shower shack with hot water.

You're in the middle of a working farm with woods and wildflower meadows to wander. It's quiet. You'll hear birds, not traffic.

For things to do, you're close to the Kent Downs. Kent Downs National Landscape has good walking routes. The Royal Military Canal path is nearby for cycling or a flat walk. The coast at Hythe or Dymchurch is about half an hour's drive. Ashford has the usual big shops if you need them.

In terms of what's here: there's a BBQ, your own bit of garden with the tent, and parking right by the field. Bedding and towels are included. It's off-grid for power in the tent itself, so we provide battery lanterns. No pets, sorry, because of the farm animals.
