The Shepherd's Hut is on our farm in Shadoxhurst. It's in a wildflower meadow with some trees around it. It's very quiet and private.
It's for two people. One room with a double bed and a small bathroom with a shower. It's a 2 Star rating, so think of it as comfortable glamping rather than a luxury hotel. Everything you need is there, it's just compact.
The hut is well insulated. There's a wood burner for winter, which keeps it very warm. In summer, the trees give good shade. We run the farm for wildlife, so you'll see and hear a lot of it. There are nightingales, barn owls at dusk, and plenty of butterflies and bees.
The hut is detached, so it's just you. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by it. We can't take pets, sorry.
If you want to explore, you're about half an hour's drive from the coast at Hythe or Dymchurch. The Visit Kent site has good ideas. The Tunbridge Wells area is also within that range for a different day out.
