Kookaburra Lodge is in Brecon town centre. It's a first-floor apartment above Rourke's Drift pub. So, if you're looking for peace and quiet late at night, this might not be the one for you. The pub can be lively. If you're okay with that, it's very convenient.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two doubles, one super king. They all have a TV. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The living area is open plan, with a kitchen at one end. It's got everything you'd need. There's a PlayStation 5 and WiFi included.
You're right in the middle of town. Shops, cafés, and the cathedral are a few minutes' walk. The canal is close for a flat stroll. For proper walking, you drive out to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Pen y Fan is about a 20-minute drive.
Within half an hour you can get to Hay-on-Wye for the bookshops, or the Brecon Mountain Railway. There's riding and golf locally if that's your thing.
Things to know: it's up a flight of stairs to the front door. Bedding and towels are provided. No pets.
