Kookaburra Cottage is a small terrace house in Brecon town centre, about a two minute walk from the main street. It sleeps four. The front door opens straight onto the living room.
It's got a 4 Star grading. That means it's well kitted out and comfortable. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a small enclosed garden at the back. The WiFi works.
One bedroom upstairs has a double bed that can be split into two singles if you need it. The other is a standard double. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Being in the town centre is the main point. You can walk to the shops, cafes, and pubs. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal towpath is a five minute walk away for a flat stroll.
For the Brecon Beacons proper, you'll need to drive. Pen y Fan is about a 15 minute drive to the store carpark, then you walk from there. The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority site has good route maps.
If you want to go further, Hay-on-Wye is about half an hour by car. The National Trust has several properties in the area, like Dinefwr.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the street directly outside. No pets, sorry.
