Derwent Cottage Burythorpe

Derwent Cottage is in Burythorpe, which is a few miles south of Malton in North Yorkshire. It's a single-storey cottage, so no stairs to worry about. That makes it quite easy.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. There's a wood burner in the living room and a hot tub on the decking outside. The decking is raised up and the view over the fields is good, especially from the hot tub.

The kitchen has a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

You can walk from the door. The Howardian Hills are right there for longer walks or cycles. Malton is about a ten minute drive. They call it Yorkshire's food capital. There's a monthly food market and plenty of butchers and bakers.

Castle Howard is very close, maybe five minutes by car. It's a big stately home with grounds. Good for a day out. York is about half an hour away. You've got the Minster, the Shambles, the usual things. The North York Moors and the coast, like Whitby, are within an hour's drive.
