Wisteria Cottage is in Buttercrambe. It's a detached, single-storey place, converted from an old farm building. That means you get the original brick and beams inside, but it's all level inside for access. You'll be in our grounds, but it's private.
There's one bedroom, so it sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic.
The main thing is the patio. It faces south, so it gets the sun. You can sit out there and look over the fields. We've got some pet sheep, hens, and Shetland ponies in the paddock next to it. They're usually pottering about.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity. WiFi is there. The shower is a walk-in wet room.
The village is quiet. The nearest shop and pub are in Stamford Bridge, about two and a half miles away. It's a short drive.
York is the main draw. You can be there in about 25 minutes. The Grimston Park and Ride is only ten minutes from here, which is the easiest way to get in. You know what York's like. The Minster, the Shambles, all of it.
For a day out, Castle Howard is about half an hour's drive. The North York Moors and the coast at Scarborough or Whitby are within an hour. The local area is good for walking and cycling, around the Wolds or the Howardian Hills.
You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
